Villa Alvor Domus
Weather conditions in the Algarve were marked by drought, despite the reversal that had occurred at the beginning of the vegetative cycle. Limited rainfall at the start of spring signalled the beginning of a dry season, without replenishment of the plants’ water levels. Despite these harsh conditions, the fact that temperatures did not rise above 35°C made this a mild year and allowed the grapes to ripen over an extended period. It was a long and very challenging year, but it resulted in good volumes and wines with a vibrant, elegant profile and great aromatic intensity.
Color | Lemon yellow, clear and bright appearance. Aroma | Good aromatic intensity, marked by floral and citrus notes. Flavor | Smooth and rounded, with evident minerality and a gentle acidity that brings balance. Good structure, with a subtle, well-integrated touch of oak.
Ideal to pair with fish dishes featuring rich or highly acidic sauces, such as seafood stews, cataplanas, and fish pasta dishes.
