The other side of a place is also the other side of ourselves.
A kind of reunion that happened to us as soon as we got into the car. We set off early, with our suitcase packed full of things and a desire that never waned as the kilometers of the motorway rolled by. We booked accommodation at Monte da Luz Family House, in Lagos, and felt at home.
“I share memories of now and then, with family and friends”
The initial reason for our trip to the Algarve was to do a photoshoot for our website, but it turned out to be much more than that. The route we drew was dotted with enchanted villages, reinvented traditions, and a taste of salt from the hills.
“I brought with me a smell of earth, of fields of rockrose”
We got lost many times, some unintentionally, others not. Whenever this happened, the quiet streets did not lead us to chance, they led us to encounters and remarkable moments. Concerts of wind, of rattles, of colours. We listened to everything we could, namely silence solos. Between each of our pauses, a journey through the senses.
“I keep nooks and crannies, refuges where the breath slows down”
Discovering the other side of the Algarve, made of time, wild nature, chance encounters, and original flavours, allowed us to live experiences lulled into well-being.
In our first blog article, we wanted to share with you some of our memories, witnessed by roads that wind on the horizon, trees that impose themselves on nature like candle holders on a table, and people who shared their arts and crafts with us.
“I recall suspended moments, stillnesses of magic”
For our part, they were intense days during which we savoured every moment. Looking back at these photographs, we are sure that we have returned certainly different. We thank all those who made this possible.
After this first trip with our team, we invite you to continue discovering the other side of the Algarve with Villa Alvor.
